Dreams are Gateways to an Endless Universe
Doot Doots are a type of dream born creature that can commonly be found wherever there is a dream. The dreams they are born from are permanently called their "home dream", "domain", or "home realm", though it is possible for Doots to travel to other Doot's domain. When a Doot is in their home dream they have control over what the land is like, the creatures there, or anything else - let your imagination run wild! Your Doot can live among humans, or never meet them, come in and out of dreams, or stay in one forever. The moment they enter another Doot's domain, the rules change, and they no longer have control in someone else's domain. They can only control their home.
Dreams are endlessly creative. They can live in a world of water or a wasteland, a space land, or no where at all. Your Doot can become a doctor if they so choose, or a spirit protecting a forest... they can be anything they want to in their own dream (or in another Doot's homeland depending on the domain)! You can have fun with it. The only restriction is they cannot become Lucid Doots or Nightmares, as they have control in other dreams.
When they are hungry, they feed off of the pasts of other dreams - this is the reason why one who might be dreaming can never turn around and return to a place in the dream without having to remake it. They can travel outside a dream to the "real world" if they so choose, but they can return to a dream if there is someone is sleeping nearby - if not they may become stranded there.
There is a central realm for Doots to gather, like a giant city and trading post. This realm is called the Citadel of Dreams, and all Doots but Nightmares are welcome there. Doots here have some powers, like telekinesis, to help them with everyday life. The Citadel of Dreams do have laws so that everyone can visit happily.

The Essence of Dreams
After a Doot consumes parts of a dream, the dream turns into essence in their bodies. During digestion, the Doot will emit a type of vapor in the form of clouds, leaking out of their nostrils and mouth as a byproduct. Essence is basicially any color with glowing flecks, thick and smoke like in behavior, warm, somewhat tangible, and stains things it may come into contact with.
