Starting out the size of a baby lamb, Doot Doots are born small and vulnerable inside an empty dream. They lack both colors and markings all over the body, including the hooves (or paw pads), eyes, ears, flesh, and innards. They are always white, pearly, and plain.
Obtaining Their Colors
After the first dream a Doot Doot feeds from, it will adopt a body who's colors and markings resemble the original dream. These markings and colors stay with them throughout their lives. An adult grows roughly to the size of a sheep or a miniature donkey.
Earning Their Flight
The longer a Doot Doot lives and the more dreams they devour, the bigger they get. Over many years they can become the size of a horse. These older Doot Doots are less common because of their age, and may sprout wings.
